Panchayati India Foundation aims to support farmers with Legal Aid Awareness camps to save them from the legal hurdles arising out of lack of knowledge about laws on property and land registration process.
It is high time that farmers should be given awareness of property laws and guidelines. Though these are civil disputes, some complaints can be referred to the Superintendent of Police if they are land grabbing incidents. In such cases, a team under the DSP will investigate the issues. If it is related to real estate property, a complaint can be lodged under state real estate regulatory body. Besides, a suit can be filed in High Court. But, most of the farmers are not aware of the property laws and legal issues. Though they have several bighas or acres or land, poor financial literacy is a fundamental problem in these cases.
Law, being a part of the society, evolves and grows every moment. We aim to amalgamate law with the society for greater good. We plan to make impact upon the lives of one million farmers with our Legal Aid & Awareness Campaign.
